The Public Sector Procurement Agencies of the Regional Marketplace have joined together with BC Bid (www.bcbid.ca) to provide our suppliers of goods and services with email notification of procurement opportunities in British Columbia.

BC Bid offers an E-Notification service that allows our suppliers to register and to be notified by email of customized bid opportunities available to them.

Our partners in the Regional Marketplace at this time are Northern Health Authority, College of New Caledonia, University of Northern British Columbia, City of Prince George, Regional District of Fraser Fort George, and School District #57, and we look forward to being joined by other purchasers in the future.

Future plans are for the Regional Marketplace to encompass Prince George, McBride, Valemount, Mackenzie, Quesnel, Williams Lake, Fort St. James and Vanderhoof.

By the end of 2006, procurement opportunities offered by the Public Sector Procurement Agencies will be available exclusively through BC Bid and our potential suppliers will be required to register with BC Bid to receive notification of procurement opportunities. In the meantime, we are committed to ensuring a smooth transition for our suppliers.

Informational training sessions will be held on an ongoing basis to tour the diverse opportunities available on BC Bid's website and to assist our suppliers with registration. Check “Upcoming Events” for the next scheduled session.
